I'm Darren Sharman. I've built products, run development teams, and shipped real software into real use.
What I enjoy most, across all of it, is figuring out how a team of smart people can do better work together than they could alone. Structure, tests, tools, observability, accountability.
Lately I've been doing the same thing with AI. Treating it as a team of colleagues with specific strengths and specific gaps, and building the tools that close those gaps. Give it a browser it can actually use. A phone rack it won't wreck. A task queue it can read and write. A shared memory. A gate at the door that blocks bad commits. The atlas on the home page is what those tools look like together.
I live near Zürich, Switzerland. Reasonably time-zone flexible. Open to conversations about working this way, a system you're building, or a role doing more of this kind of work.
